The collaborative works depict the nations melting pot and the melding of its cultures: Indigenous First Nation people, Chinese, Welsh, Italian.

Meetings and collaboration with the individuals depicted in these artworks created grounds for topics of cultural and racial disharmony, environmental awareness, changes to lifestyle and community pressure.

The installation was researched and developed in collaboration with each person depicted through the performative photo-copy process. Each was photocopied with their chosen icon/s and personal items pertaining to the topic including traditional clothing, body paint, symbols, icons, colour.

Each Photo-copy/ Xerox was printed on Archival paper, photographed as one off images. The process was developed with Acrylic paint on canvas. The final 2D works were hung on the wall with a floor image of Australia correlating to the polight of the indigenous Australian’s and traditional owners of the land. In front of the map stands a lectern and microphone with wires moving through the map to the voices of each individual. Dialogue was recorded through the process of collaboration and developed as a narrative and soundscape as the final installation work. The soundscape duration is 6 minutes.
